November 9th, 2004 Meeting

Meeting Minutes for November 2004

The normal November 9th pre-meeting began with the gathering of Panteras in the parking lot along with the usual discussions of the gang. Joe Wagner's car stole the show with its 427 and all that bright work. At 7PM, we moved to the restaurant for the general meeting and some eats.

Voting resulted with less controversy than that of the National Presidential race. Each candidate was placed in office with a unanimous verdict. Ushered into office was President Dave Rudderow, Vice-Pres Rod Kunishige, Secretary Bob Culpepper, Treasurer Ron Novak with Members-at-large --- Bill Harris, Bob Singer, & Bill Wrigth.

Willow Springs report underscored the fun factor for those who were on and off the track. Sunny and windless meant that the west's fastest track was in full use throughout Saturday. Special treats included free passenger rides for those over 18 with appropriate garb in each run group. More importantly was the open to ALL cars at the track noon session that, through the grace of Cherie and Jim Saxton, asked the common sense rule of no passing --- street cars everywhere. It was a real opportunity for everyone to safely see what is like to run this world famous track. The variety of cars covered the full spectrum including a half dozen Ferraris beginning with very rare 275GTB and an F40 both running at full song. So, the seven Panteras were truly tested on track. There was plenty of room on track so you can run full out or make certain that you may return to the pits without those rock chips. Paige Adler's performance was outstanding as she quickly moved up the field in her NASCAR ride until black flagged. Jim reported that Sunday was the same with a brief drizzle to break up the day.

We are looking to hold events each month through the coming year. The list under consideration needs to be expanded with your help. Let's do more to include associates too. Please forward your ideas to Dave Rudderow with suggestions to add or your preference of the following:
