Two to work and two to watch

A benefit of joining our club is shown above when Art called for an impromptu tech session to install his newly refurbished transaxle.  A quick call formed a crew to do the job.  Most were former members of the team who installed the modified 351C earlier in the month.  Ask Art about a special trick to make the transaxle slide into place with no effort at all.  Some of us remember the amount of work Rick used to persuade my transaxle into place.  With Art’s technique, Rick can now retire that crow bar of his.

We all are serious about getting as many of these cats out of the garages and onto the streets for all to enjoy.  So, if you want some help getting your car moving again, please call Dave to schedule a tech session.  Remodeling my garage continues so would you like to host a tech session?  Labor charges usually involve just eats and drinks.

Crew: Dave Rudderow, Art Stephens, Bob Culpepper, Gary Mitchem, Ken Green, Bill & Brian Harris.

Frank Spurny and I would like to hear from those who favor a roving meeting site as well as those who oppose.  Our chapter covers a wide area and traffic in the region often places a premium on location.  Make your voice be heard.  It’s your club.  We merely want everyone to participate.

This month Matt Hesford became a new member.  Renewals are W Michael King, George Peloquin, John Stacey, Tom Todak, and Bud Williams.  Thanks to all, especially their associates.

President Dave Rudderow at April 13, 2005 meeting announced the sale of both new TPOC hats ($10) and black t-shirts ($25) with the Las Vegas logo.  These are worn with pride.  Only 12 members attended:  one drove 2 hours showing us some real dedication.  Who was he?  The Dunkil Museum run is set for this w/e:  fill up the tank and let’s go.  Meet April 27th 9AM at Burger Town off the Hwy 10 Archibald exit in Ontario for the Wednesday run to Las Vegas.  We’ll lunch in Baker.  Fab Fords at Knotts Berry Farm is also upon us, $25 fee.

Give Dave your fund raising ideas by calling 714 969-1301.

Phyllis has a huge handful of TPOC badges.  Pick them up at the next meeting.  If you don’t have one, come to the meeting and sign up.  It’s free!

Pictured above is Mike Drew helping TPOC’s only UK member Goeff Peters insert a monster motor.  Perhaps we can persuade Goeff to write an article about his car and his friends in UK.  I’ll forward your emails to him if you send it to me at rkunishige@hotmail.com.  This is definitely two at work.
