Overall winner was Alan Foster in his screaming Mustang. The heated contest between the two was a
sight to see. A new Lotus took third
but was pushed by an ancient BMW1600 whose start at second to last had us all
standing as he pass4ed one car after another throughout the race. I noted that he easily took the Panteras by
diving into the inside of the turns.
Only the Lotus could attack similarly as they swapped positions several
times. A broken motor mount forced him
to break the pursuit of the diminutive Lotus.

Adler drove the race pick up casually about the track as he waved others
by. Now that’s a gentleman who loves
the track. Mike Drew brought his yellow
Pantera. Yes folks he really does have
one and it works. The Saturday tech
session was again a big hit with details on what to do along with what not to
do to your car.

HB Concours & Hot Rods. Huntngton Beach is holding two days of shows for
us. 6/2 is for the Hot Rodders while
6/3 is for concours. Dave and I would
like to have all of you to bring your car Sunday. Last year’s attendance was minuscule. It is our hope to truly show the marque this year. The $30 entry fee goes to support the
children’s library program and is vital to their education. Bring your car to show that these beauties
warrant respect today.

Racing invites you to run all makes & models at speed on the Willow Springs
road course in Rosamond, just north of Lancaster. Jim and Cherie Saxton host both Pantera and Ferrari clubs for
this two day event twice a year. TPOC
helps registration Saturday as a fundraiser.
So, bring your car and experience the fastest track in the west (often
the site of new car testing as seen on Speed TV). The cars are divided into 4 classes based on your skill level
from pro to novice (instructors provided) and car preparation. Or, come and make the TPOC treasury grow by
helping with the registration and enjoy watching some very fast, expensive cars
race. Be sure to offer a ride to the
guy holding a helmet labeled with “ROD”.
